I was wondering about performing today and wanted to throw out a topic to the tribe:
How do you feel about your performance options? How does the stage feel to you? Is there a radical difference in the spaces you perform in - such as black box vs. outdoor site specific "stages" - and can you describe what those differences are or how you define them? How does the audience change or shift in these different types of settings - either from a performer's or audience's viewpoint? Which do you prefer and why?
If you perform mostly in traditional theatre type settings, how have you worked with the space differently? How have you challenged yourself to work with or see space or how have you challenged the space (including how the audience "sees")?
