hey all, i just participated this weekend in a roundtable discussion facilitated by the Noh Space and Sherwood Chen in SF, and we were talking about issues of tradition, fusion, identity in our work and audience development and thought i'd post some of the questions we discussed to see what your responses are. the symposium will be podcast sometime soon and i'll give y'all the link to that when that happens. our group mainly consisted of japanese /japanese american butoh influenced artists, but we did have some musicians, arts administrators, and people of other asian and non-asian ancestory present. it was an interesting blend to say the least!
